Meet the Animals
We have a full range of farm animals, but MINI…except the dogs which we like BIG.
Read more about our animals below:
Mini Cow
Moocha (Mocha with a Moo)
Mooka is cutest, sweetest baby highland cow who loves drinking her milk and getting scratches on her chin. She also like spending time with the others and is fairly curious although she prefers to observe a bit first.
MINI DONKEY
DonQui-jote (or Honkey)
Honkey is a 8 year old mini donkey. He enjoys pets more than anything, but he also likes eating hay and wandering the field munching fresh grass.
NIGERIAN DWARF GOATS
Fern
Fern is a 7-year old Nigerian Dwarf doe who loves attention and treats. She is the sweetest and photogenic of all our goats (and secretly our favorite).
Choco Mulkies
Choco Mulkies (or Baby Goat as we call her) is a 1-year old doeling who enjoys grain and hanging out with Fern (read: velcro).
Daisy
Daisy is a-3 year old Nigerian Dwarf doe who only has eyes for food. Her favorite food is bananas (even the peel) but she won’t say no to a good strawberry or apple.
Primrose
Primrose is a 2-year old Nigerian Dwarf doe who loves her babies and snacks. She is our newest goat.
Cedar
Big brother to Oak, Cedar is a parkour aficionado who enjoys binky-ing around the yard and jumping on his mama's back for a ride.
Oak
Oak is a little Nigerian Dwarf buckling with moonspots. He is a sweet baby boy who loves spending time with his mama and big brother Cedar.
ROOSTER
Picasso or Pico de Gallo
Pico is a beautiful, multicolored rooster who is a passionate and effective protector of his flock. His call brings his flock, herding his girls when a hawk comes or night falls or even during the day sneaking them out of the fence!
CHICKENS & DUCKS
We have a variety of hens, including the youngest who was hatched by the an older, broody hen. While we are not sure what she is, we also have one Olive Egger and two lavender Orpingtons.
Our ducks are three different types - Chocolate Runners, Welsh Harlequins and Silver Appleyards, including a drake. These breeds were chosen for their tendency to forage and be hardier (Welsh and Appleyards) and because they tend to be smaller and won’t harm the garden while picking pests off plants and out of the soil (Chocolate Runners).
DOGS
Tulsi
Tulsi is our original livestock guardian dog. At 3 years old, this sweet, beautiful patrol leader is now full grown, so keep an eye out for some beautiful pups. Tulsi loves food and pets, and she has the sweetest eyes.
Willow
Willow is a big, 1-yo puppy who has learned a lot from Tulsi but brings her own playfulness to the task. A serious love puppy, Willow enjoys playing with Juniper and Mila. This cutie loves making a strong patrol team with Tulsi.
Juniper
Juni, a Newfoundland puppy, is our newest pup. She is an absolute love with that classic dopey Newfie face. Her fur is the softest! She loves to play and loves the water. Where Willow rides on the pond, Juni prefers a pond swim.
Mila
Mila, our foster fail moved with us before the start of the mini farm. Although fierce about her protector role, Mila is also serious about outside play time with the other dogs and more serious about treats.
CATS
We have many cats! Nashoba is the oldest, but he is a wild roamer now. Baby Kitten (also known as Loud Mouth) is a kitten we kept from a foster litter because he looks like a mini version of Nashoba’s brother Fraya (a surprise boy) who died in 2022. Mama Cat (Kitted) is a gray tabby. Big Baby is her first orange kitten from her first surprise litter. Little Baby, also orange, is one of the two kittens from her second litter. Little Baby surprised us by coming back pregnant one day, which led to an unexpected four kitten litter. PC Buttons is the newest orange kitty on the mini farm.
